Rethinking Therapy for the New Millennium

With the current push toward short-term therapy regulated by insurance requirements, mental health professionals frequently complain of "burn-out" and "compassion fatigue", feelings of hopelessness, and an inability to meet genuine human needs in fifty-minute increments. Many concede that the models on which their training and work are based no longer seem relevant in a stressful world of rapid transition and nebulous personal identity. Spherical Reality™, a new model of consciousness, health, and balance, which identifies the mechanics of consciousness in an elegant and functional way, has been developed over the past decade. Spherical Reality™ Certification

A model of consciousness, health, and balance, Spherical Reality (SR) is a paradigm based on the memory of "self as source" - the creator and substance of all life. It outlines a view of human beings as endless potential - the substance of source - re-creating itself moment by moment through the unique unfolding of each individual. SR articulates unique "nutritional pathways" for the expression of balance and health. These pathways become active as individuals and their world evolve in a rhythmic and cyclical manner. Respect for this rhythm is a key factor in SR's efficacy.

Spherical Reality is based on balance as a way of life. It recognizes four areas of spiritual expression that must unfold naturally to enable spontaneous creativity and a sense of well being. These areas of expression (or quadrants) allowed and properly witnessed, create the environment for individual life force to blossom, and their destiny to flow naturally into the world through inspired thought, word, and action.

As a preventive model, Spherical Reality incorporates balance techniques that ensure the well being and sanctity of the self. It regards spirit as the creator of mind, felt experience, the body and its perceived universe. The attention of the mind and its corresponding attitude generates felt experience, which in turn creates a context for the ultimate manifestation of the person as a "hologram" of life. Spirit is not separate from mind and body, as some previous paradigms suggested. Instead mind, emotion, and body are understood as spirit made manifest. Remembering self as source allows source to flow through the individual as lived destiny.

The viability of Spherical Reality has been proven over the last ten years in the lives of those who have been part of its continually forming framework. SR offers a relevant, functional model of what a human being is all about. It is an evolution and synergistic expansion of the wealth of knowledge recorded in psychology, religion, and the physical sciences, revealing a magical construct of consciousness in all of its astounding potential. Until recently the overall paradigm of our culture has been dualistic in nature, blocking the memory of self as source. Dualism wove a world of languages, institutions, and businesses that operated predominantly from fear and protection. The ideas that the source of life is outside of self, and human beings are innately "sinful", are examples of this dualistic thinking. Attention was generally focused on what might be "wrong" with someone who did not conform to this model. Once diagnosed, those people targeted by the system could be controlled, ostracized, or annihilated.

In retrospect, this appears to have been an evolutionary step emphasizing "survival" of cultural contexts. But now, the human family is experiencing a mass awakening, wherein we are beginning to envision who we really are beyond our survival as bodies within the culture.

Spherical Reality provides the necessary perspective that allows for this evolution to blossom by witnessing the self as source, and its intuitive flow as the essence of wellness. SR enhances the manifestation of the heart's dreams, celebrates diversity as the great treasure of a life, and explains why change is the only constant. The primary instructor is the founder and president of Friends Landing and the creator of Spherical Reality, WhiteWind Fisher, MA, MFT. WhiteWind received her MA in psychology from Azuza Pacific University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She is a licensed MFT [marriage and family therapist] in the State of California. Devoted to the development of consciousness in the world, WhiteWind has worked and studied in family systems and reconstruction, Huna, Native American traditions, and with Deepak Chopra at the Sharp Institute and Mind Body Center. An adept at helping people to identify and become skillful at following their heart's dreams, WhiteWind teaches state-of-the-art methods of self-discovery and navigation to genuine freedom, creativity, and well-being. She works with professionals from all backgrounds helping them integrate Spherical Reality into their daily lives and practices. She also trains and directs both the California and Oregon Friends Landing Centers.

Tuition

Tuition for the ten-month certification program in Spherical Reality is $3,500. There are additional fees for food and lodging for retreat [determined at the time of the retreat, and based on the number of attendants] and for travel to the retreat locations in California or Oregon. The past fee has been approximately $385.00 per weekend, Friday through Sunday. There are three payment methods possible: the first is to pay in full at registration and receive a 10% discount. The second is to pay one-half down, and the balance in equal monthly installments through June 2000. The third is to pay one-third tuition in September, another third in January and the remaining balance monthly through June 2000, or in full by April 15th. When and Where

In 1999-2000, the course will run from September to June, meeting every second weekend of the month in the Bay Area of California, Friday evening 6:00-9:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00-4:00 p.m. Exceptions are, the months of November, February and March, which will be retreats and wilderness experiences in Oregon.
