Today in the developed countries, they create all the computer application in the own language, aside from that Cambodia also have people who study in the field of information technology and they do the research to create the application in khmer as well in order to help those who cannot read foreign languages. Creating the national language application is very useful for our countries.

In the past few years, there are some institutions create the application in khmer language such as OpenOffice, Mekhala internet browser, Moyura Email and accounting in khmer with the Unicode font.

Recently a group of student from Baktouk high school had created an application for browsing picture in khmer language called Ashampoo Photo Commander 5 where can be use to listen to music, browsing picture, and designing picture. This application use khmer Unicode font support.
